Increased amount of lectures is becoming captured to provide easily accessible reference teaching material for students. This is accompanied with production of short films to cover specific issues hard to present during classical lectures. The video material is streamed both in real time and for later perusal. To support access to such lecture material from mobile devices that are used by practically all students, we developed a streaming support of video and audio on small mobile devices. The work is based on the Nsys framework (see http://www.nsys.org) and the implementation consists of small mobile client and the Nsys streaming server. Thin client for mobile devices (phones or PDAs) supporting J2ME, FlashLite or WAP is currently available. We support audio and RealPlayer video streaming formats, but we also have infrastructure to convert other formats into these supported ones.
