Das Kapitel bringt ein Verzeichnis der Musikwerke mit Bezug auf die Schauplätze der Hussitenschlachten. Der Inhalt verzichtet auf Gliederung nach Alter, Charakter und Besetzung der Werke, Bedeutung des Komponisten etc., sondern ordnet einzelne Werke den konkreten Schlachten zu. Der Text bietet dem Leser eine fundamentale Vorstellung davon, wer-was-wann-warum-wie die Handlung in die Sprache der Musik transformierte. Das Kapitel bietet auch Beispiele von Verknüpfungen zwischen dem kompositorischen Schaffen und der Zeit, in der der Komponist lebte. Es macht auf die semiotische Ebene (d.h. auf die Arbeit mit Musikzitaten) aufmerksam. Im Prinzip hat der Text einen musiktopographischen Charakter. Fast alle Hussitenschlachten banden zeitgenössische und jüngere Kunstreflexionen an sich, d.h. fanden ihre Äußerungen in der Literatur, im Drama, in der bildenden Kunst usw. Im Falle der Musik war jedoch das Bewusstsein über konkrete Musikwerke absolut minimal, erst dieses Kapitel bringt einen ersten Überblick als Resultat der Grundlagenforschung und wird dadurch zur Vorstufe für anknüpfende applizierte Forschung.

The chapter provides an overview of compositions with a link to the places of battles of the Hussite wars. Rather than reflecting the age of the compositions, their character, scoring, importance of the composer, etc., the content relates the individual compositions to specific battles. The text offers the reader a basic idea of who-what-when-why-how translated the plot into the language of music. The chapter thus offers examples of the connections between the composer’s work and the era in which he lived. It draws attention to the semiotic level (i.e. working with musical quotations). In essence, the text belongs to the field of musical topography. Almost all battles inspired both contemporary and more recent reflections in art, i.e. they were dealt with in literature, drama, visual arts, etc. In music, however, awareness of specific works was quite minimal so, based on basic research, this chapter offers the first overview, forming the initial step for further applied research.
