The development of algal communities along the longitudinal gradient and their dynamics during the vegetative season in one creek in maritime Antarctica [King George Island] in described. The distinct differences in the species composition and in severaldefined microbiotopes were found and statistically evaluated by DCA method. The list of identified species is added.
