Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The international conference focused on the contexts of education in the thought and work of Johannes Amos Comenius. The conference was divided into a scientific part and a workshop part. The scientific themes focused on the contexts of early modern education and a broad context of Comenius’ thought: mainly historical, anthropological (culture and memory of education), philosophical (Comenius’ Pansophia and its contemporary meanings), religious principles of the educational process both in 17th-century schools (e.g. the Latin School in Amsterdam) and in the context of religious education of the common people. The workshop part was mainly based on museum practice, the importance of visuality in the educational process and the possibilities of its use in exhibitions were addressed, as well as the possibilities of modern museum use of Comenius’ works and ideas. The conference featured a total of 32 speakers over three days, with keynote lectures by Ann-Sophie Lehmann and Howard Hotson.
