Die Mobilität und das Beziehungsgeflecht der Juden in Böhmen lassen sich für die Zeit um die Wende vom 15. zum 16. Jahrhundert nur ansatzweise rekonstruieren, und zwar durch eine Kombination aller Quellengattungen, die sich jedoch chronologisch nicht überschneiden. Aus den überlieferten, mehr oder weniger zufälligen Nachrichten wird deutlich, dass die Juden sich relativ rasch zwischen königlichen und untertänigen Städten bewegten. Die Gründe für ihre Migration sind vor allem in der gesellschaftlichen und ökonomischen Situation zu sehen, manchmal zogen sie auch wegen einer Heirat um. Nur sehr sporadisch sind Nachrichten über Auslandskontakte überliefert. Ein Beispiel ist der Fall des 1505 hingerichteten David Veliký aus Budweis, der auf seine Geschäftskontakte nach Polen verwies, während andere seiner Glaubensgenossen Kontakte nach Niederösterreich pflegten. Diese Nachrichten sind jedoch in Gerichtsprotokollen überliefert und ihre Relevanz wird nicht ganz deutlich.

For the period around the turn of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, the mobility and network of relations of the Jews in Bohemia can only be partially reconstructed by combining all the source genres, which, however, do not overlap chronologically. From the more or less random information that has survived, it is clear that the Jews moved relatively quickly between royal and subject cities. The main reasons for their migration were social and economic, sometimes they moved because of marriage. Only very sporadic reports of contacts abroad have survived. One example is the case of David Veliký from Budweis, who was executed in 1505 and referred to his business contacts in Poland, while other Jews maintained contacts in Lower Austria. However, these messages have survived in court records and their relevance is not entirely clear.n
