ARIADNE & Linked Open Data
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This presentation explored the principles of Linked Open Data (LOD) and how knowledge in various domains, especially archaeology, is represented and structured using using triples into RDF (Resource Description Framework). The concept of LOD was introduced as a method of linking and sharing structured data across the web, allowing for enhanced data discovery, integration, and interoperability. The core idea of RDF, where knowledge is represented as subject-predicate-object triples, was demonstrated with practical examples from the ARIADNE Knowledge Base, DBpedia and Wikidata. The session highlighted how ARIADNE utilizes RDF triples to organize and connect archaeological data, making it more accessible and reusable across research communities. Additionally, the presentation discussed the benefits of using RDF and LOD for supporting collaborative research and data-driven insights in the digital humanities and archaeology.
