Influence of the Tuned Mass Absorber on the Dynamic Response of the Footbridge across the Highway D5 near Černice
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
A new footbridge across the highway D5 near Černice was built in 2004 on the basis of PONTEX design. According to the final design, the footbridge was very dynamically sensitive to live load caused by pedestrians in the vertical direction, therefore a tuned mass absorber (TMD) was used as one of the possible solutions to reduce vibration of the footbridge. A dynamic load test in two stages was carried out on this footbridge consequently. During both stages of the dynamic load test the dynamic response onto passages of various pedestrian groups was measured, that were very similar for both of them. The first stage of the dynamic load test was carried out when the TMD was not installed on the footbridge yet, the second state was perfomed after the installation of the TMD. The responses measured in both stages were compared and the influence of the TMD on the decrease of the dynamic response onto pedestrian passages was evaluated.
