The Solar Chimney - theory and experience

This report includes a theory and a description of the construction of the multiple channel solar chimney builted at Aalborg University, Aalborg, Denmark as well as a measurement of this solar chimney done on the full-scale model of the solar chimney inorder to collect the necessary experimental data, which can be applied in the future. In this experimental testing of multiple channel solar chimney were measured the air temperature (vertical temperature profile) in the experiment room, inlet and outletair temperature, the air temperature in the gaps of the solar chimney, the outside air temperature in the cavity of opened double skin facade, the surface temperatures in the solar chimney, the air flow rate in the solar chimney and the solar radiationon the roof of the building, the solar radiation on the external surface of the double skin facade and total solar radiation transmitted into the DSF
