Verification of FE model of crash barrier post using experimental modal analysis
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This work deals with using of finite element method (FEM) for developing new designs of crash barrier. Basic aim of the project is to determine a procedure of finite element (FE) models verification. It should help to improve the accuracy of FE models. The first part deals with creation of FE models of the newly-designed crash barrier. Models were created in ANSYS Workbench and are formed of shell elements. The second part is focused on the application of an experimental modal analysis (EMA), which wasused for the determination of modal frequencies and shapes. This was provided on a real scenario. FE models were verified by comparing of measured modal characteristics and calculated modal characteristics. Project should lead to improve professional public knowledge about FE models verification using EMA. This should conclude to safer, more accurate and profitable design of such structures.
