In 2009 were carried out pilot projects of mobile laser scanning in the Czech Republic. At the same time project of mapping of the Czech Republic by airborne laser scanning started. Using mobile laser scanning technology it was possible to achieve pointclouds of higher spatial accuracy and point's density than from airborne system. A case project at Czech Technical University in Prague focused on monitoring of the state highway and its surroundings using mobile laser scanning. The new highway from capital city of Prague to Hradec Kralove city (about 100km) was mapped using the Lynx mobile mapping system. After construction completion in 2010 it became clear that some parts of this new highway was not well done. New scanning was done to help detect allproblematic areas. Special attention had to be given to data transformation into national coordinate frame. Models from different periods were compared and deformations were displayed by subtracting previous model from new one. On this p
