The thesis deals with the suitability of application of rules and knowledge from project management to real estate business. The business is the purchase and sale of property. The issue is solved on a general basis, not on a concrete example. The basic prerequisite is the definition of the meaning of the terms Real Estate Market, Project and Project Management. These terms ask questions that describe projects and procedures in general. Furthermore, the aspects through which the purpose of projects is concretized are monitored. As far as possible, these aspects and issues are, by analogy, transferred to the real estate environment. Based on these assumptions, the real estate market is compared with the field of project management. The aim is to find out whether the similarity of these two sectors has been achieved.
