3D Printed house Vs. Ordinary Construction
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Contour crafting is the new trend for many construction companies who want to differentiate themselves from their competitors and be able to present a winning alternative to their customers. This technology promises short construction times, advantageous costs for the customer, and a focus on lowering CO2 emissions. But in reality these considerations are either true or false. The more constructions we see being realised with this technology, the more we hear some conflicts with these key points. The article will help to better understand the strong and weak aspects, of this technology, by comparing the costs of the material for 3D printer with ordinary materials for the realisation of two-story family house in Prague. Porotherm, Ytong and reinforced concrete for the only vertical elements will be compared with printable concreate with additive and dry mortar mix. We will try to understand whether the promises made are well-founded, or whether they are part of a banal marketing campaign. Results will be used by the author for further insights.
