The thesis highlights the diverse facets of industrial heritage, ranging from buildings and machinery to social activities linked with industry. It underscores the significance of preserving industrial heritage, as evidenced by global initiatives and the establishment of organizations like TICCIH. Despite advancements in understanding and protecting industrial heritage, challenges persist, particularly in the Czech Republic's porcelain manufacturing areas. The thesis discusses trends in industrial tourism, challenges in repurposing industrial areas, and the need for collaboration between stakeholders. It concludes by emphasizing the importance of revitalizing industrial heritage sites and the need for further exploration into foreign approaches to preservation. Additionally, it raises questions about the disparity in project implementation success and highlights missed opportunities in the Karlovy Vary region.
