The lecture describes the recent findings in the assessment of existing bridges, that were used in praxis and implemented to the assessment codes in Czechia, such as wind load modification, based on the wind tunnel testing, and rules for the fatigue assessment of corroded structures. Also, the lecture describs interesting projects, dealing with the renovation or replacement of large steel bridges.
