Low-temperature processing of materials is widely used for the transformation of the residual austenite in hardened parts to a harder martensite in the whole volume of the product, for accurate parts and components. With the aim of operation cost savingsin the cooling-down process a system design is proposed using heat interchange between a cooled-down and a warmed-up stream of material.
