The article describes the concept of modular stand, where is possible to provide tests of gear pairs from mechanical automotive gearboxes, as well as tests of separate planetary sets from automatic gearboxes. The gearbox casing is designed in such manner, that the gearwheels from serial gearbox (without any other adjustment) can be used. The parameters of the test stand are suggested that the testing (circulating) power in the closed loop equals 168 kW. Except of endurance tests (typical for such device) will be possible to measure also transmission error, non-uniform load distribution on planets, vibrations and other parameters.
