CALORIMETRIC EVALUATION OF THERMAL EFFICIENCY OF SELECTED METAL TRANSFERS FOR MAG WELDING
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This paper deals with the calorimetric evaluation of the thermal efficiency of MAG (according to EN ISO 4063) welding method influenced by type of selected filler metal transfers. Thee efficiency evaluation aims to a increase of the accuracy of the heat source definition necessary for numerical simulations result inprovement. The efficiency coefficient k for MAG welding is specified in EN 1011-2 (k =0,8) and this value is unsatisfactory for simulations in terms of accuracy. The standard does not distinguish between an individual process modifications (filler metal transfer type). The evaluation was performed by using of the insulated box method. This paper describes an experiment based accurate thermal cycles measurement of the specimen. In a consequences it is possible to obtain precise values of the thermal efficiency of the welding method modifications. Based on the measured data, it was found that each of the filler metal transfer methods provide a different temperature efficiency.
