Proposal of Reduction of Emissions of Marine Shipment
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
On the basis of global statistics evaluating the monitoring of the freight maritime transport volume, the contin-uous increase in climate pollution has been evaluated for a long time. At the same time, the climate change requires emissions from maritime freight transport to be reduced. To do this, it is necessary to fundamentally and radically change the fuel of ships, because the current and the future maritime transport is the most cost-effective in the field of transport and logistics. The paper shows solution – cargo ships will use hydrogen propulsion. It means to construct the infrastructure of hydrogen refueling stations, which, which will move on the oceans around the world and serve as hydrogen refueling stations for cargo ships. On the board of hydro-gen refueling station, it will be hydrogen generator that uses demineralized water obtained by applying the reverse osmosis technology to seawater, technology for hydrogen liquefaction and storage and all will be powered by small modular reactor The aim of paper is to stimulate discussion on possibility how really de-crease emissions from marine cargo transport.
