Tunnel in the Sky with Audio Commands Extension
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The article describes extension of the currently used tunnel-in-the-sky navigation approach of an EFIS instrument by audio commands which should lower the pilot workload and necessity to divide his attention between head-down display and the outside word. While performing the visual rules flights pilots are required to look out from the cockpit instead of checking his EFIS display. We are trying to extend the EFIS functionality by audio commands which allow the pilot to fly along a predefined path. While there is more approaches like point to point navigation which advice a course of the flight and it is on the pilot how he fly from the first point to the second one in this article we try to define a scenario in which the pilot is guided by audio commands along a smooth path including strait parts and also turns. The article describes the set of selected audio commands, methods of audio commands generation and preliminary results from the test flight where tunnel-in-the-sky and audio c
