Performance-based Navigation, RNAV Operations in Czech Airlines
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The subject of my thesis was to evaluate current GNSS operations and eventually design new options for Czech Airlines fleet of ATR 42/72 and Airbus in terms of satellite navigation. The work engaged with all parts of flight–instrument departure, enroute flight, arrival, approach including missed approach procedure and pre-flight planning considering both types within fleet. This article presents current options depending on aircraft equipment, crew training and company’s procedures, alltogether summed up in PBN which is the result of recent collaboration between industry, states, regulators, and service providers. The PBN concepts of RNAV and RNP have expanded area navigation techniques, originally centred upon lateral navigation accuracy only, to a more xtensive statement of required performance. This is related to accuracy, integrity and continuity, along with how such performance is to be achieved in terms of aircraft functionalities and flight crew requirements.
