Characterization of colonic microbial community in Autistic children
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Autism is a mental defect affectingmore and more children around the world. Children with autism often suffer from chronic diarrhea, bloating, abdominal pain, distension and abnormal stool consistency. According to somestudies, the origin and developmentof the disease involved in some types of metabolites. Their digestive tract produces very adverse reaction to some component in the diet (eg gluten). Repeatedly it has been hypothesized deviations of the composition of microbial activity in the ecosystem of the digestive tract of these patients. The composition of intestinal microflora of sick children and theirhealthy family members with the same eating habits should help to detect this problem. The aim of this project was to isolate DNA from stool samples of autistic individuals and their healthy family members and using molecular genetic techniquesto characterize the composition of the microbialpopulation of the image and determine the representation of major groups of microorganism
