The objective of the article is to analyse the situation and preventing measures of workplace violence in the health and social sector. Secondary analysis of documents and published researches. Great help for preventing violence is the support from the management of the health and social care institutions and bigger support from the national law and government, which will clearly take the side of defending from all types of violence. Workplace violence becomes alarming world problem. Health care and social care mployees are at great risk of violence. Preventing workplace violence is not simple and there is no single solution. Full awareness of the problem helps.
