Adaptive Control of Continuous Two Input - Two Output System

This paper presents the design and simulation of adaptive control for a continuous two input-two output system in which matrix fraction description appear second order polynomials. An algorithm for feedback control for such systems was designed. Synthesis is on a basis of pole placement of the characteristic polynomial matrix. For the identification part the recursive least squares method with the directional forgetting factor modified for continuous model parameters estimation by using filtration of continuous variables was used. A program in MATLAB + SIMULINK for Windows (The MathWorks, Inc.) was created for the simulation of control of such systems.
