Influence of 1-monoacylglycerol of perfluoroundecanoic acid on growth inhibition of micromycetes
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The microbicidal and antifungal effects of monoacylglycerols have been extensively studied recently. Perfluorinated derivatives are also known to posses inhibitory activity against bacteria and micromycetes. In this study 1-monoacylglycerol of perfluoroundecanoic acid (MAG-C11:0(PF)) was prepared and tested for growth inhibition of selected species of micromycetes (Alternaria alternata, Aspergillus niger, Mucor racemosus and Penicillium roqueforti). The inhibition effect was evaluated by comparing the area of the colony on the culture medium containing MAG relative to that with no MAG added. Growth parameters, e.g. maximal radial growth rate, lag phase and minimum detection time were also monitored and compared. Results showed that M. racemosus was themost sensitive of all fungi species tested. MAG-C11:0(PF) showed a very strong inhibition effect against this species at a concentration of 750 ?g/ml. All other strains showed a strong or very strong inhibition effect at MAG-C11:0(PF) co
