Labour market is a natural component of every market economy. Imbalances between labour demand and labour supply represent a serious macroeconomic issue in every market-oriented society. From the perspective of the Classical Theory of Economics, the labour market changes are mainly influenced by economic factors resulting from economic development of a particular country. Global economic crisis affected the Czech Republic in the second half of 2008. Downturn in economic activity significantly impacted the situation on the Czech labour market. Employability of graduates different levels has deteriorated substantially. Basically, the educational structure in the Czech Republic is usually divided into three categories: elementary education, secondary education with /without graduation and university education.
