Security research is an integral part of security education, which is taught at selected universities in Slovakia and abroad. Given the historical past, it could be said that the Czech Republic is close to the security research of the Slovak Republic. The article will aim to confirm or refute the idea by analyzing the research activities of individual entities engaged in security research in both countries. As part of the identification, we will determine the numbers and funding of projects focused on security research, as well as the identification of grant opportunities in individual countries.
