QGIS map software and tailor-made open-source tools for radiation protection
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The presentation describes tailor-made open-source tools for radiation protection developed within the framework of cooperation between the SURO, and FSV CVUT. The tools were created mainly in the framework of bachelor and master's theses on topics listed by the SURO. The results of the work were extensions (so-called plugins) for the QGIS open-source program used at the SURO for processing field measurements and their visualization on a map (using free map data such as OpenStreetMap). Students' work is a functional and ideally debugged QGIS plug-in, including complete documentation and source code released under the GNU GPL license - all the plugins thus created will be available to those interested in the public. The contribution was presented at Second Technical Meeting (TM) on the Development, Testing and Harmonization of Models and Data for Radiological Impact Assessment (MODARIA II), IAEA Headquarters, Vienna, 30 October – 3 November 2017.
