The paper deals with software tools focused on radiation protection, which were created within the framework of cooperation between the SURO, and FSV CVUT. The tools were created mainly in the framework of bachelor and master's theses on topics listed by the SURO. This is the development of additional specialized tools / extensions (so-called plugins) for the QGIS open-source application used at the SURO for data processing from field measurements and their presentation in the form of map outputs (using free map data such as OpenStreetMap). Students' work is a functional and ideally debug plug-in for QGIS, including complete documentation and source code released under the GNU GPL license - all the plugins thus created will be available to those interested in the public. The contribution was presented at Proceedings of the 18. Stiavnica Days 2017 - Presentations and Posters, Banska Stiavnica - Pocuvadlo (Slovakia); 26-28 Sep 2017. ISBN 978-80-971754-3-6.
