Anotace anglicky

The first project task consists in preparing a commented representative specimen of photographs, documenting development of the city of Prague in several aspects: peripheral Prague, everyday Prague, sportive Prague, cultural and scientific Prague, and protectorate- and war-time Prague, all in the period of the 1920s to 1950s. The collection should cover the period of the transformation of the city of Prague and its suburbs into a modern capital of the new state, coupled with efforts either to keep or toleave the continuity with the lives and housing of the former generations. Thus the research and documentation will have not only urbanistic aspects, but also national, social and cultural. Attempts will be made to document the use of modern technologies in the life of inhabitants of Prague during the four mentioned decades. The second project task consists in evaluation of the contribution of Přemysl Koblic as a photographer-technician and as a photographer-chemist. This part should document Koblic?sresearch and publishing activities in the field of the contemporary photo techniques and design of photo appliances, in view of the possibilities of their use at the present time. The project will cover three years and its outputs will be papers published in professional periodicals, an exhibition and catalogue (monograph) devoted to the life and work of Přemysl Koblic, an interactive GIS map, primarily documenting results of the project first task and methodology arising from the second task. There will be also various popularising outputs, such as a photo-workshop presenting Koblic?s methods in practice, as well as lectures accompanying exhibition focused on individual ?faces? of Prague.
