Algebraic and geometric methods and structures

Anotace anglicky

The last five years witnessed an unprecedented permeation of the activities of leading Czech research groups in Prague and Brno in several closely related areas of abstract algebra, algebraic number theory, and geometric analysis. The research supportedby this grant will focus in particular on algebraic representation techniques in the Geometric Analysis and the applications in Mathematical Physics, the development of the geometric tools in the Algebraic Number Theory, the applications of various algebraic structures in connection with module theory, and various applications of the abstract Category Theory. The measures will involve joint seminars and dissertation topics for Czech and foreign students, further improvement of the international character of the institutions, and common lectures of foreign visitors. The current and future students at the Charles University and the Masaryk University will gain a deeper and more effective education, but also they increase their chance for further independent carrier in the academic or industrial research area.

Projekt podpořil skupinu studentů matematiky z oblasti algebry a geometrie na univerzitách v Brně a v Praze. Vedle individuaálního výzkumu, jehož výstupem bylo několik vynikajících výsledků mezinárodního významu, projekt umožnil prohloubení spolupráce u?
