On the road to inclusion of Ukrainian refugees in the environment of Czech Lower-Secondary schools

Anotace anglicky

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, there has been a significant increase in the number of Ukrainian pupils in Czech schools, with their share reaching 3.7% of all pupils. Ukrainian pupils represent the largest group of foreigners in schools. The research is aimed at exploring the inclusive efforts of Czech schools towards Ukrainian refugee pupils by analyzing the current efforts and needs of key stakeholders in the educational process. The main aim of the research is to provide findings that can contribute to improving the educational conditions for Ukrainian refugee pupils in schools and to support the development of an inclusive learning environment in Czech primary schools. The methodology of the project involves conducting a multiple case study, questionnaire survey with a randomized sample in the South Moravian Region. The research will be conducted using the following methods: focus groups, questionnaire survey, semi-structured interviews, observations, quasi-experiment. The main output of the project will be 5 scientific articles (2 JIMP, 3 JSC).
