Der Artikel stellt eine neu entdeckte Skulptur des stehenden Christkindes im Zisterzienserinnen-Kloster St. Marienthal in der Oberlausitz vor, die stilistisch dem Meister der Madonna von Michle zugeschrieben werden kann, einem der bedeutendsten Bildhauerateliers in der Regierungszeit Johanns von Luxemburgs und Karls IV. Diese bisher älteste bekannte Darstellung dieses Typs in den böhmischen Ländern steht in einem engen Zusammenhang mit einem weiteren Werk aus dem entsprechenden Werkstattumkreis am gleichen Ort, der Skulptur des Auferstandendenen Christus von St. Marienthal.

The article presents and discusses a recently found sculpture of Christ child in the female cistercian convent of St Marienthal in Upper Lusatia. From stilistic view this work can be attributed to the so called Master oft he Madonna from Michle, one oft he most important sculpture workshops in Bohemia and Moravia during the reign of John of Luxemburg and Charles IV. The sculpture represents the oldest known work of this iconographical type in the Czech lands and stands in a strong relationship with the sculpture of Christ Victorious in the same place, made in the same workshop.
