The only comprehensive institution in the Czech Republic has carried out all-round research for the food sector in the areas of chemistry, biochemistry, engineering, packaging and manipulation, including the comprehensive protection of storage. So as unique machines for the food industry are developed. Activities of the Institute are focused on research of proteins, saccharides, organic acids, vitamins,mineral substances,iodine, dietary fibre, as well as af latoxins or PCB etc. It is offering f. e. development for specially dietary nutrition, microbiological analyses, various know how are other. The results are presented at the numerous international symposiums abroad. The activities are focused also on the themes of cooperation, preparing for the time, after the ČR take part on the EU.
