New glutathione formulation for sustained release from gastrointestinal tract Asian Congress on Biotechnology (Poster. Asian Congress on Biotechnology 2013. December 15-19, 2013. Dilli, India).
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
To improve glutathione bioavailability after oral administration we have incorporated it into microparticles of ethylcellulose and/or cellulose acetate phthalate. Commercial FMC?s Aquacoat? EC (ethylcellulose) and Aquacoat? CPD (cellulose acetate phthalate) pseudo-latex preparations have been used for the microparticles production. FMC?s Aquacoat? pseudo-latex technology enables aqueous presentation of water-insoluble polymers. These reliable aqueous functional coatings are designed for use in both pharmaceutical and nutritional solid dose applications. They provide desired modified release profiles with the added benefit of global regulatory acceptance. Chitosan (medium molecular weight ) was added to the Aquacoat? pseudo-latex mixtures in amount of 5- 10 % of DM to improve mucoadhesivity of the microparticles. Two methods of the microparticles preparation were tested and compared ? conventional spray drying and the carbon dioxide assisted nebulisation.
