NEW advances in the xMAP technology – development of bacterial detection systems
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
4th Biological workshop in Komorni Hradek, Highly virulent agents and their vectors, Komorní Hrádek, 23.-25.4.2019 – lecture. Early detection of bacterial biological agents is an important factor in ensuring the protection of human health, food resources, animals and the environment. For this purpose, the xMAP technology, which is based on the principle Multiplexed Oligonucleotide Ligation in which there is a pair of ligation probes adjacent to each other on the target DNA sequence. For each marker in the test, another pair of probes is designed. This method allows the direct detection, identification, typing and semi-quantification of up to 50 pathogenic biological agents in one single reaction. The principle and final version of the experiment should be a diagnostic panel for identification of Bacillus anthracis, Yersinia pestis, Brucella spp., Francisella tularensis, which are primarily zoonotic agents and are abused as a bioterrorist weapon against states or group of people.
