Each language teacher who is teaching tertiary students has to deal with testing their language skills. When the L2 is taught within philological programs (future teachers of L2, interpreters, translators, PR people and the like) testing can follow standard course books and additional materials. On the other hand, if the L2 is taught to non-philologists (L2 for specific purposes), testing language skills is more complicated and suffers from a lack of both testing and methodology materials. The goal of this monograph is to give some opinions on the possibilities of testing L2 for specific purpose. Most of the papers draw on the research of individual authors and show the possible ways of evaluating individual skills - listening, reading, writing and speaking. As teaching L2 for specific purposes is really very different from any other type of language teaching and in view of the fact that testing is a key part of each course, we have decided to initiate a forum of good practice and teac
