Les anglicismes sémantiques : un trait du néofrançais du XXIe siècle

L'article porte sur la réception progressive des anglicismes sémantiques qui font l'objet de nombreuses études surtout sur le français du Canada. Notre article vise a compléter cette recherche par l'analyse du français européen. Le travail suit un double objectif. La première partie compare les différentes conceptions du terme néofrançais et analyse la réflexion théorique actuelle des emprunts sémantiques en néofrançais. La deuxième partie présente une étude de cas sur deux anglicismes sémantiques, (( réaliser }} et (( assumer }}, effectuée dans le corpus web Araneum Francogallicum Maius. Les résultats de la recherche indiquent que, bien que les deux verbes soient parfois employés dans leur signification motivée par l'anglais, et que cet emploi serve même a créer de nouvelles structures syntaxiques, la signification originelle reste toujours prédominante en français européen.

The paper deals with the progressive adoption of semantic anglicisms. A number of studies have been conducted on semantic anglicisms, mostly with Canadian French. Our paper intends to complete the research by an analysis with European French. The aim of the study is twofold. In the first part we compare different conceptions of the term néofrançais and we analyse the current theoretical reflection of semantic borrowings in néofrançais. The second part presents a case study of two semantic anglicisms, 'réaliser' and 'assumer', conducted on a web corpus Araneum Francogallicum Maius. Its results show that, despite the fact that the two verbs can be used in the English meaning, and that this use even creates new syntactic structures, the original meaning is still prevailing in European French.
