This paper briefly describes Sellars&apos; view on common sense - concepts (&quot;manifest image&quot;) and linguistic meaning and introduces his account of linguistic-cognitive framework (&quot;logical space of reasons&quot;), that is the base of human conceptualization of the world. The paper focuses on the critique of Sellars&apos; views by Hilary Putnam and John McDowell, who contest the lack of reference in the objects and properties of common-sense concepts and challenge his internalist and inferentialist view of semantics.
