"Il fronte si mangia il mio cuore e i miei compagniSi mangia tutte le mie paroleE sta adocchiando il resto del mio corpo."[dasein: la difesa dell'esserci] di Yaryna ČornohuzSono i versi di una poesia tratta dalla raccolta poetica della scrittrice ucraina Yaryna Čornohuz, che è stata pubblicata in Ucraina nel 2023. In questo libro vengono presentate delle poesie scritte nell'ultimo anno e mezzo durante le rotazioni al fronte della scrittrice arruolata nell'esercito ucraino durante l'invasione su larga scala dell'Ucraina da parte della Russia. Tuttavia, le poesie di questa giovane poetessa che ha imbarcato le armi accanto alla sua penna per difendere la propria patria, non descrivono i combattimenti, le azioni militari e non parlano dei territori liberati. Sono piuttosto delle lettere dal fronte, che parlano del dolore della perdita dei confratelli e consorelle, lettere sull'essere in guerra, qui e ora. La scrittrice parla della propria scelta di andare a combattere e sull'aspetto che ha la difesa della propria presenza in questo mondo. Infatti, la raccolta si chiama "[dasein: la difesa dell'esserci]". La raccolta è attraversata da un forte tono autobiografico e personale. A vote per il lettore è difficile accettare che chi ha scritto questi versi e chi ha vissuto l'esperienza raccontata siano la stessa persona. È difficile a volte fare la sovrapposizione tra "militare" e "poeta". Ed effettivamente quello che aiuta a colmare la distanza tra queste due impostassi della stessa persona sono in parte anche le immagini che accompagnano i diversi testi della raccolta.Le poesie sono accompagnate da 18 fotografie che riprendono i diversi momenti della realta del fronte, ma anche dei momenti della rappresentazione di sé stessi e della prospettiva propria dell'autrice. Sono foto che riprendono persone, oggetti, che si concentrano diverse parti del corpo. Sotto tutte le immagini è riportata la data e il luogo e talvolta qualche parola di commento.Quello che vorrei fare è cercare di capire in che modo le immagini dialogano con il testo, in che modo contribuiscono a raccontare l'esperienza della guerra, l'esperienza del confine invalicabile e sempre presente che è il fronte, ma anche raccontare sé stessi e la sua visione del mondo.

"The front of eating my heart and my comrades.It eats up all my wordsAnd it is eyeing the rest of my body."[dasein: the defense of being] by Yaryna ČornohuzThese are lines of a poem from Ukrainian writer Yaryna Čornohuz's poetry collection, which was published in Ukraine in 2023. This book presents poems written over the past year and a half during the frontline rotations of the writer who enlisted in the Ukrainian army during Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine. However, the poems of this young poet, who embarked on arms alongside her pen to defend her homeland, do not describe the fighting, military actions, or speak of the liberated territories. Rather, they are letters from the front, speaking of the pain of losing brothers and sisters, letters about being at war, here and now. The writer talks about her own choice to go and fight and about what it looks like to defend one's presence in this world. In fact, the collection is called "[dasein: the defense of being there]." The collection is traversed by a strong autobiographical and personal tone. A vote for the reader is difficult to accept that the person who wrote these verses and the person who lived the experience narrated are the same person. It is difficult sometimes to make the overlap between "military" and "poet." And indeed what helps to bridge the distance between these two hypostaxes of the same person are in part also the images that accompany the different texts in the collection.The poems are accompanied by 18 photographs that capture different moments of the reality of the front, but also moments of self-representation and the author's own perspective. They are photos that capture people, objects, focusing different parts of the body. Under all the pictures is the date and place and sometimes a few words of commentary.What I would like to do is to try to understand how the pictures dialogue with the text, how they contribute to telling the experience of war, the experience of the insurmountable and ever-present border that is the front, but also tell about oneself and one's worldview.
