This chapter deals with the music of the Roma in the Czech Republic/Czechoslovakia. It briefly describes the nature of sources on the history of Romani music and relevant musical genres. The main focus is then devoted to the most popular genre of the late 20th and early 21st centuries – rompop – and its most significant performers, foremost among them Věra Bílá from Rokycany.
