Im Beitrag werden die Zürcher Bibel und die Luther-Bibel als zentrale Übersetzungstexte der Reformation auf ihre unterschiedliche Entstehungsgeschichte, ihre unterscheidlichen übersetzerischen Traditionen und Übersetzungsprinzipien wie auf ihre sprachreflexiven Äußerungen hin miteinander verglichen. Gerade weil beide von hoher Qualität sind, kommen die Zürcher und die Wittenbrger zu unterschiedlichen Übersetzungen.

This article compares the Zurich Bible and the Luther Bible as central translation texts of the Reformation with regard to their different histories, their different translation traditions and translation principles as well as their language-reflexive expressions. Precisely because both are of high quality, the Zurich and the Wittenbruger come to different translations.
