First results of our study showed safe method for preventive surgical transanastomotic stenting. Histological reaction was low and similar in stented and control group with one case of cirrhotic liver changes in non-stented group. There were no symptoms of biliary obstruction in both groups with relative anastomotic stricture according to MRCP in 3/4 pigs of control group. Results of the whole study in higher number of pigs with longer follow up are expected.
