Reflecting diversity with a view to innovating undergraduate counsellor training (good practice illustration).
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Counselling practice is characterized by a variety of clients (as to age, gender, or nationality) and a diversity of environments in which counselling services are provided. This is why we believe several questions reflecting this diversity are worth asking, namely: Is it necessary for a counsellor to empathizes with his/her client? Can a counsellor reach objective understanding of his/her client? Is the interpretation of a behaviour defined by clients (his/her) intentions behind it, or someone of client? Do different clients inhabit different worlds? Field experience as a compulsory part of undergraduate counsellor training may be conceived in different ways depending on how the above questions are answered. The poster presents a specific set of innovations being implemented at the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University (Brno) within a project supported from the European Social Fund and the state budget of the Czech Republic.
