Migration und Diversität zählen zu den großen Herausforderungen der Gegenwart. In unterschiedlicher Weise sind davon auch die europäischen Länder betroffen. Bildungseinrichtungen als Orte gemeinschaftlichen Lernens und kultureller Diversität müssen reflektierte Handlungsmuster entwickeln. Um an allen Bildungseinrichtungen weitere und umfassendere Angebote zu entwickeln, sind die länderspezifischen Kontexte besonders zu beachten. Sie bilden die Ausgangspunkte für das Diversity Management in den verschiedenen Bildungseinrichtungen. Ergebnisse der Grundlagenforschung und der anwendungsorientierten Forschung sollen genutzt werden, um Integrationskonzepte zu entwickeln. Diese sind Voraussetzung für die strategischen Planungen zur Umsetzung von Diversität in kommunalen Bildungslandschaften und zur Schaffung einer partizipativen Netzwerkkultur. Hochschulpartner können theoriegeleitet und evidenzbasiert innovative und praxisnahe Konzepte für partizipatives Bildungsmanagement entwickeln. Die Konferenz wurde in der Zusammenarbeit mit der Universität Hildesheim und der Volkshochschule in Hildesheim organisiert.

Today, migration and diversity are among the great challenges of our society. The European countries are affected in different ways. However, educational institutions as places of community learning and cultural diversity must develop reflected action patterns. To develop further and more comprehensive offers at all educational institutions, particular attention must be paid to the country-specific contexts. These specific contexts define the starting points of diversity management in educational institutions.The results of basic and application-oriented research should be used to develop concepts of integration for practice. Such concepts should then lead to strategic planning of diversity in municipal education landscapes and to the development of participative networks. Researchers are asked to provide theory and evidence based concepts for innovative and participatory education management. The conference was organized in cooperation with the University of Hildesheim and the Lifelong Learning Education Center in Hildesheim.
