Chapter focuses on decision - making methods, which are useful for vendor selection while facing first time purchasing situation. Chapter comes out from the comprehensive literature reviews, which were worked out in the past. The aim is not to introducethese methods in detail but to make a brief overview in order to understand their nature. Scientific methods are then confronted with reality in electronics (LCD module) manufacturing industry. Chapter demonstrates the gap between recent scientific development of highly sophisticated methods and the reality, which requires simple, easy to understand and implement approaches. As the result, implementation of recently developed methods into real world application is preferred to any further extensive development.
