WORK-LIFE BALANCE IN THE PRACTICE OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The theme of work-life balance has become very much discussed in recent years in the Czech and European economic environment. Currently we put Europe (including Czech Republic) great emphasis on the promotion of the welfare state, when the family business into a public issue, not just private. The current concept of family policy as a financial guarantee for the services provided by the state brings with it a higher financial burden on public budgets. The financial sustainability of a generous welfare state is questioned and revealed by efforts to reform and search for a new model. Work-life balance is a universal response to aging, low birth rates and even economic growth in Europe. This paper aims to identify tools work – life balance, which for its employees implement selected public authorities in the Czech Republic. The research focuses on two target groups of employees: parents with preschool children and carers. Research in the institutions of the South Moravian Region in particular was conducted in the form of controlled interviews. Research has shown that the Czech authorities place emphasis on flexible working hours, informal benefits and company kindergartens.
