Dynamic changes in the use of multimedia and information and communication technologies (ICT) in language learning of recent years have led to the necessity to ask questions such as: Do we design ICT-enhanced tools and materials that suit the diverse needs of our students? or Do we use multimedia and ICT that improve language learning processes? This paper shares our experience with the successful implementation of ICT-enhanced language learning in the university environment. Masaryk University LanguageCentre-Centrum jazykového vzdělávání (CJV MU), the leading language learning institution in the country, engages in teaching and research activities which focus on design, development, evaluation and implementation of novel courses, testing and ICT tools in the areas that include CEFR, flexible materials format, authentic situations, creative processes, community-of-practice communication and ICT-enhanced language learning.
