This paper presents a Creative Approach to Language Teaching (CALT) with the aim to share effectiveness of the use of flip teaching in an academic setting. Masaryk University Language Centre (CJV MU) is the leading language learning institution in the Czech Republic that has initiated complex improvements and innovations of language education and encouraged research into diversity of approaches to language teaching in the country. A number of project and research activities (Invite, Compact, Impact, Deutsch.Info, Czech?Key) focused on design and implementation of novel pedagogies and cutting edge ICT tools. The areas in focus included flexible materials format, authentic situations and ICT-enhanced language learning in the context of critical and creative thinking in language development.
