The conference was organised by the Department of English and American Studies (Faculty of Arts and Philosophy, University of Pardubice). Scholars and PhD candidates from Czech and foreign universities met in Pardubice to present and share their research. In two main panels - Literature and Cultural Studies; Language Teaching/Learning and Linguistics - the participants discussed a wide range of topics, including issues and approaches related to identity, fiction, drama, nature and environment in popular genres; various aspects of EFL teaching, corpus analysis or discourse analysis.
