The conference was organised by the Department of English and American Studies (Faculty of Arts and Philosophy, University of Pardubice). Scholars and PhD candidates from Czech and foreign universities met in Pardubice to present and share their research findings. In two main panels - Literature and Cultural Studies; Language Teaching/Learning and Linguistics - the participants discussed a wide range of topics, including issues and approaches related to genre, fiction, drama, the concept of wilderness, or popular culture; various aspects of learner discourse, EFL teaching, or discourse analysis.
